Chairman of LRE, Lecturer, Public Voice, and Devoted Activist for Democracy and Justice
Academic Formation
Arian Galdini was born on December 11, 1974, in Lushnjë, Albania.
With an academic background in economics and administration and an international experience that has shaped his worldview, he is today one of the most engaged public voices and activists for political, civic, and societal transformation in Albania.
He completed his undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the South East European University (SEEU) and earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the European University of Tirana (UET).
To deepen his expertise in governance, civil society, and public policy, he pursued:
• The Chevening Programme at the University of Glasgow, focusing on the relationship between government, civil society, and the private sector.
• The Executive Program in Governance at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
This academic formation has equipped him with a strategic and analytical approach to the challenges of state-building, democracy, and transparency, transforming him into a key actor in Albania’s intellectual and political discourse.
Author of “Neo-Albanianism” and Public Thinker
Arian Galdini is a free thinker and a powerful intellectual voice in Albania’s public sphere.
He has published hundreds of articles, analyses, and opinion pieces in the most prestigious Albanian media outlets, including Panorama, Gazeta Shqiptare, and other platforms of public debate.
In 2024, he published the book “Neo-Albanianism”, a philosophical and political doctrine calling for a National Reawakening.
This work boldly challenges the conformism of the political elite and the ideological distortions that have corrupted Albanian political thought.
“Neo-Albanianism” is not merely a book, it is a manifesto for Albanians who seek to liberate themselves from a distorted legacy and build a future rooted in justice and dignity.
Fight for Justice and Civic Activism (2000–2020)
For more than two decades (2000–2020), Arian Galdini has been a tireless activist in defense of justice, transparency, and civil rights.
He became one of the strongest whistleblowers against the Pharmaceutical Mafia and corruption in Albania’s healthcare system. Between January and March 2015, he led one of the most significant civic and public battles by exposing:
• The scandal of expired and counterfeit medications in Albania, which endangered the lives of thousands of patients.
• Corruption in health tenders and mafia-like schemes that enriched oligarchs at the expense of public health.
• The horrific affair at the Oncology Hospital, where cancer patients were deprived of basic treatments due to massive corruption and misuse of public funds.
His denunciations triggered a wave of national and international reactions, exposing the degradation of state institutions and the lack of accountability by public authorities.
Beyond that, he has actively promoted transparency in public administration, the fight against corruption, and initiated many efforts for good governance and ethics in politics.
Political Activism and Founding of LRE
In October 2020, he founded and was elected leader of LRE, a political force with a clearly defined right-wing, national, and developmental identity, grounded in the principles of meritocracy, transparency, and national dignity.
LRE, Lëvizja Rinisje (The Renewal Movement), is not a traditional party, but a new vision for politics, free from corruption and the recycling of old elites.
Arian Galdini was re-elected Chairman of LRE during the party’s First Elective Assembly in June 2023.
Academic Work and Contribution to Education
In addition to his political and civic engagements, Arian Galdini has made a significant contribution to academia:
• He has served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, “Luarasi” University, where he taught public administration, good governance, and ethics in the fields of economics, business, and the public and private sectors.
• He is the founder of the media platform “News Etika,” a free space for intellectual debate and in-depth analysis of Albania’s political and social reality.
International Recognition and Honors
For his contribution to national reconciliation, the promotion of democracy, and the fight against corruption, Arian Galdini has received significant national and international honors:
• The “Mother Teresa” and “Skanderbeg” Medals, awarded by the President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, in September 1999.
• The “Kentucky Colonel” Medal, awarded in 2018 by the Governor of Kentucky, Matt Bevin—one of the highest honors in the United States for distinguished contribution to justice and civic leadership.
A Life of Thought and Action
Arian Galdini is not a typical politician.
He is a thinker, an academic, and a warrior for justice, someone who believes that Albania cannot remain hostage to a corrupt system, but must build a future founded on values and meritocracy.
With extensive experience in politics, academia, activism, and media, he stands today as one of the most important voices in the public debate and in the battle for a different Albania, a freer, fairer, and more developed Albania.
In every word, in every analysis, and in every effort he undertakes, one unwavering principle endures: Albania must awaken and take its destiny into its own hands.
